SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKES 
1 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sour cream
Sliced apples, blueberries, cranberries, cherries

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Add with sour cream to first mixture. (Batter is very stiff.) Grease and flour 4 spring pans or foil pie plates. Put batter in pans and press fruit into batter, enough fruit to completely cover batter. Spread topping over fruit. Add chopped nuts, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream.
