SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream

TOPPING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. (Mixture will appear curdled.) Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Pour half of batter into greased 13 x 9 inch pan or two 8 inch square pans.

Mix ingredients for topping. Sprinkle a third of topping over batter. Top with rest of batter, then rest of topping. Bake at 375 degrees about 30 minutes for 13 x 9 inch pan, 45 minutes for square pans. Makes 8-12 servings.
