ROMAN APPLE CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Salt
3/4 c. apples, cut fine

Mix in order given. To mixture of 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar. Sprinkle over batter and dot with butter. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
