PIZZA BALLS
1 lb. ground beef (ground chuck or round)
1 egg
1 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk (may take a little less)
2-3 tbsp. onions, chopped very fine
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 clove garlic, chopped fine or 1 tsp. powdered garlic
Dash of hot sauce
1 jar Ragu Italian cooking sauce (21 oz.) (For more sauce add 8 oz. can tomato sauce) Cheese (Mozzarella & Cheddar), cut in cubes

Mix beef, crumbs, egg, onion, pepper, garlic, milk and hot sauce. Mix well but lightly. Roll into balls as large as you like. Place a cube of cheese in center of each ball. Cover cheese cube with the meat real good. Roll balls in plain flour.

Boil in oil or Crisco, turning to brown on all sides. Place meat balls in pot and pour cooking sauce over them. Place 1 green pepper cut in strips and 1 large onion (sliced) in pot. Simmer gently 20 minutes. About 1 or 3 minutes before it gets done, I like to add 1 small can of chopped mushrooms to make it a special dish.
