LEMON BREAD 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. dried or fresh grated lemon peel
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Add milk and flour mix alternately; mix well. Add lemon peel and nuts. Mix. Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf pans and 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Remove from oven and glaze with following:

Glaze: 1 cup sugar, 10 to 12 tablespoons concentrated or fresh lemon juice. Mix, stirring until dissolved. Spoon over hot bread. Allow to cool about 10 minutes before removing from pan.
