POTATO CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. sour milk
1 c. Irish potatoes
3/4 c. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins

Cream butter and sugar; add 1 cup potatoes, then egg yolks, well beaten. Sift together all dry ingredients three times. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to butter mixture. Add raisins and nuts and fold in beaten egg white. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 1/2 hours. Ice if desired.
