GERMAN HOT POTATO SALAD 
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 c. vinegar
Few sprigs minced parsley
2 2/3 c. water
1 c. bacon drippings
4 qts. cooked cubed potatoes
8 tbsp. chopped onions
4 cooked eggs, sliced

Combine dry ingredients in top of double boiler, stir in vinegar, water and bacon drippings. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened (about 5 minutes), add onions, potatoes and eggs to dressing.
