1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or lard
3 eggs, beaten together
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in hot water
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. nuts, chopped
3 c. flour

Beat together sugar, lard and eggs. Add baking soda then add the others. Mix together. Add flour to obtain correct consistency. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 150 cookies.
