CHINESE CHEWS 
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. butter (oleo)
2 tsp. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. coconut
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix the first 3 ingredients as for pie dough. Pat firmly into pan and partially bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Beat the eggs and add the brown sugar, chopped walnuts, coconut, flour and vanilla. Spread on the partially baked mixture.

Bake for 25 minutes.

Place in a square or oblong cake pan.

These are wonderful and easy to make.
