ICE BOX PICKLES 
7 c. sliced cucumbers
3 c. sliced onions
1 green pepper, diced (opt.)

SYRUP (no cooking) :
4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. celery seed

Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cucumbers and onions in a gallon jar. Seal and leave upside down overnight. (Do not refrigerate.) Next morning place right side up in refrigerator. Will keep for months.
