1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine and cook over low heat until it turns white or clear. Cool. Beat 3 egg whites very stiff. Fold in the cooled mixture. Spread on pie and brown. In a 350 degree oven.
