PECAN PIE 
1 c. pecans
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. dark Karo syrup
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. melted butter

Arrange pecans in bottom of pie shell. Mix eggs, sugar, syrup, vanilla and salt. Let stand at least 5 minutes. Add melted butter. Slowly pour mixture over pecans in shell.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 375°F.

Pie gets firm while cooling.
