SOUTH SEAS PORK CASSEROLE | |
1 envelope onion soup mix 3 tbsp. lime juice 2 tbsp. water 1 tsp. ground ginger 3 cloves minced garlic 1 1/2 lb. boneless pork, thinly sliced and cut into 1-inch squares In a large shallow baking dish, blend onion soup mix, lime juice, water, garlic and ginger; add pork. Cover and marinate in refrigerator, turning occasionally, 4 hours or overnight. Remove pork, reserving marinade. Bring marinade to a boil in a saucepan and thicken with flour. Simmer for at least 20 minutes. Thread pork onto bamboo skewers that have been soaked in water for 30 minutes. Brush pork cubes with marinade. Broil, turning occasionally, 15 minutes or until done. Serve with marinade sauce. Makes about 6 dozen appetizers. Submitted by: Janie |
