MY FAVORITE BRAN MUFFINS 
1 1/4 c. Kretschmer toasted wheat bran
1 c. Kretschmer toasted wheat germ
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. boiling water

In large bowl, combine bran, wheat germ, sugar, flour, baking soda, salt and orange peel; set aside. Combine eggs, honey, molasses, oil, buttermilk and boiling water; mix well with dry ingredients. Spoon batter into greased muffin tins, filling 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Batter may be made ahead and stored in refrigerator for up to 1 month to be used as needed. Makes 2 dozen muffins.
