SWISS STEAK 
1/4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
dash of meat tenderizer
1 1/2 lb. round steak or swiss steak
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 onion, chopped
1 can tomatoes, chopped
1/2 c. water

Pound flour and spices into meat with hammer. Cut into serving size pieces. Brown in shortening. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 hours or till tender, stirring occasionally.
