CARAMEL CORN 
6 qts. popcorn, popped
1 c. butter
1/2 c. light Karo
1 c. dry roasted nuts (optional)
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt

Melt butter, add all ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes without stirring, on low heat. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Pour syrup over popcorn in large roaster and stir well. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven and dump on wax paper to cool. Break apart.
