MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN | |
2 c. nuts (opt.) 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. light or dark syrup 1/2 c. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. raw popcorn, popped in 2 batches Lg. grocery bag sprayed well with vegetable spray In saucepan heat together brown sugar, syrup, butter and salt. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and pour over popcorn. Stir until well coated. Pour in nuts. Place popcorn in bag and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Shake. Microwave 2 more minutes. Shake. Microwave 30 seconds. Shake. Microwave 30 more seconds and shake. Cool on wax paper. Use caution, the bag gets hot! |
