MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 c. light corn syrup
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 qt. popped popcorn
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Place popcorn in large grocery bag. Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil using full power. Boil 2 minutes at full power. Stir in baking soda. Pour syrup mixture into bag over popcorn. Close bag and shake vigorously. Return to oven for 1 1/2 minutes, microwaving at full power. Remove and shake vigorously. Return to oven for 1 1/2 minutes at full power. Remove and shake again. Return to oven for 1 minute. Remove and pour onto tray or cookie sheet to cool. Break apart when cool. Store in airtight container.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
