MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN | |
16 to 20 c. popped corn 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1 stick butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda Place popped corn in a large paper bag. Combine sugar, syrup, butter and salt in 8 cup batter bowl and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well, microwave for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Stir well and pour over the popped corn in the bag. Shake well and microwave 1 minute. Repeat 1 minute then shake and microwave 35 seconds and repeat. Pour out on counter top to cool. Store in an airtight container. |
