RUTH'S PIE CRUST | |
5 c. flour 1 lb. lard 1 tsp. salt 1 egg Put egg in measuring cup, fill with water to measure 1 cup, add 1 tablespoon vinegar. Cut lard into flour and salt until it resembles coarse meal. Add egg mixture and work until a ball forms. Dough can be re-rolled many times. You can freeze the unused dough for later use. Makes 3 double crusts. |
