FRUIT TORTE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. butter, melted
Salt

Mix like pie crust. Reserve 1 cup for top. Spread remaining in 9 x 9 pan.

FILLING FOR APPLES:

6 apples (1 qt.) slice
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. butter
Vanilla

FILLING FOR PEACHES:

1 qt. peach slices
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2/3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
Vanilla

Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt and water. Boil until thick, add vanilla and butter. Pour mixture over fruit, mix well and pour into oatmeal lined pan. Cover with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
