CAULIFLOWER WITH CHEESE | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen cauliflower 1 c. boiling water 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk 1/4 to 1/2 lb. Sharp cheese, cubed Drop cauliflower into boiling water with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Separate flowerets with fork. Cover and bring to a boil; cook gently for 5 to 6 minutes or until just tender. Melt butter in saucepan; add remaining salt. Blend in flour; gradually add milk. Add cheese and simmer until cheese is melted. Pour sauce over drained cauliflower. NOTE: Add more milk if thinner sauce is desired. Yield: 4 to 8 servings. |
