1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
2 eggs
A little grated nutmeg, to taste
2 scant tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour (unsifted)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs. Mix together remaining dry ingredients, stir in. Add vanilla and mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Moderate oven.
