NO KNEAD ROLL DOUGH | |
3 c. flour 1 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. cold water 1 egg, beaten Heat milk to scalding point. Remove from heat, stir in shortening, sugar and salt. Add cold water and cool to lukewarm. Beat egg and add to this. Dissolve yeast in warm water and stir into milk mixture. Stir in flour, beat until dough is smooth. Place dough in greased or oiled bowl and store in refrigerator 2 hours. Form into rolls and let rise until double in bulk - bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. |
