QUAKER PLUM PUDDING 
1 c. milk
3 c. coarse bread crumbs
1/2 c. shortening, melted
1 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. raisins, chopped
1/2 c. citron, chopped
1/2 c. molasses

Pour milk over bread crumbs. Blend in shortening and molasses. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Stir in bread mixture, raisins and citron. Pour into well greased mold (1 quart). Steam 3 hours and serve with foamy sauce.
