SPRING CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. Maizena
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 tsp. grated lime peel
1 tbsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

In a medium bowl, using electric mixer, beat butter with sugar and egg yolks. Add milk, cheese, grated lime peel, and salt.

In another bowl, beat egg whites into yolks, folding carefully by hand. Gradually add dry ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees in cake form coated with butter and flour.
