SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/4 c. olive oil
1 med. onion
1 med. green pepper
16 oz. stewed tomatoes
15 oz. tomato sauce
1 tsp. seasoning = oregano, basil, thyme, or other as preferred
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. ground beef
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. mushrooms
4 oz. water

Heat oil in heavy pan; add meat, cook until brown, add chopped onion, pepper, garlic and stir well. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water. Mix well, then add the seasoning and stir again. Simmer for 2 1/2 hours; uncovered. Add mushrooms and sugar during the last 1/2 hour of cooking time.
