AURORA'S FAVORITE SLOW COOKED
PORK CHOPS

This can be made either in a Crock-Pot or slow cooked in the oven in a roaster or oven-proof casserole or pot. My daughter inhales these whenever I make them!

5 or 6 pork chops (Bone-in is fine), cut in half.
1 can cream of mushroom Soup
10 shakes Worcestershire sauce
10 grinds pepper (1 tsp.)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt or 1 clove crushed fresh garlic
1/4 cup chopped onion or 2 tsp. dry onion
3/4 cup water (1/2 cup is good if using Crock-Pot)

Brown meat - I put all meat on a pizza pan in a 400°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes, works really well. Frying in a pan on stove-top is good too.

Add all other ingredients, bring to simmer. Add meat when browned, make sure meat gets covered with sauce.

Crock-Pot: Slow cook in crock pot on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Oven: Place in preheated oven at 350°F for 1/2 hour, lower to 250°F and cook for at least 4 hours. Stir every hour if possible, but try to stir at least twice.

For a variation, use Campbell's Chicken Gumbo soup and omit Worcestershire sauce.

Serve with or on top of cooked long grain rice.
