SCOTCHAROOS (RICE KRISPIES
TREATS)
 
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch tidbits
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate tidbits

Bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil in a 3-quart pan. Remove from heat and add the peanut butter. Stir until well blended. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Press into a 9x13-inch buttered pan.

In a double boiler, melt the butterscotch and chocolate tidbits. Pour over Rice Krispies mixture. Smooth over top. Chill, remove and cut into bars.
