FLAMING BAVARIAN PORK CHOPS | |
6 or 8 (3/4" thick) loin pork chops 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper 1 1/2 c. tart applesauce 2 c. beef bouillon 1/3 c. applejack or brandy Before Hand: Trim excess fat from chops and save some. Sprinkle chops with seasoned salt and pepper. Mix applesauce with bouillon. Heat trimmed fat in electric fry pan until it sizzles, about 350 degree heat. Place chops in fat and cook for 5 minutes on both sides. Add applesauce mixture. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until chops are tender. Remove cover and cook until juice is reduced by half. Place pan on table, pour applejack slowly over contents and flame. Serve as soon as flame is out. |
