CHEWY OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE | |
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 2 1/2 c. plain uncooked oatmeal 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 12 oz. chocolate chips 8 oz. Hershey bar, grated 1 1/2 c. nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, oatmeal, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Roll dough into small balls (no larger than ping pong ball size). Place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake for 6 minutes, 7 at the most. Yields: 5 dozen. |
