DUTCH APPLE BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. milk
1 c. peeled, chopped apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts; optional

Grease 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat. Combine flour, salt, and soda. Add to creamed mixture while also adding the milk. Fold in chopped nuts. Bake for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
