FRENCH BREAKFAST MUFFINS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar, combined with 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift together dry ingredients. In separate bowl, combine milk, 1/3 cup melted butter, egg and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients, stirring only until all dry ingredients are moistened. Fill greased muffin pans half full. Bake 20 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Brush with 1/4 cup melted butter and roll in sugar.
