ORANGE-DATE CAKE 
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (8 oz.) box chopped dates

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare a tube pan with no-stick cooking spray. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add nuts and dates.

Pour batter into tube pan. Bake 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove cake from oven; pour sauce over hot cake in pan.

ORANGE SAUCE:

1 c. orange juice
2 c. sugar
