CARNATION DROP COOKIES | |
1/2 c. soft shortening 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 c. undiluted Carnation milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped nuts Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs. Stir in Carnation milk and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Stir in other ingredients. Blend in nuts. Chill 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drop rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart. Bake about 10 minutes. If you want, you can add package of chocolate chips. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. When cool, I like to cover with glaze: 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Combine all ingredients; heat until smooth. |
