When I can pickles, I pack cold pickles with seasonings in jar and fill with hot brine. Put lid on tight and place in 250 degree oven for 10 minutes. Then turn off your oven but leave pickles in oven (overnight is good) until cool. I guarantee pickles will not turn milky and will be sealed tight.
