APPLE PIE IN A JAR 
1 1/2 x recipe = 9 quarts.

Peel and slice apples. Fill quarts. Pour syrup over and seal. Process 20-30 minutes in hot water bath.

SYRUP:

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
8 tbsp. tapioca

Cook syrup until thick. Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice.
