NEVER FAIL PIE MERINGUE 
1 tbsp. cornstarch
6 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. water
3 egg whites
Few grains salt

Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt and water. Cook until thick and clear. Cool slightly. Beat egg whites until frothy. Continue beating while slowly pouring mixture over sugar mixture, continue beating 5 minutes. Spread over cooled filling in pie shell, sealing edges. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes until golden.
