COCONUT CAKE WITH GLAZE 
Beat together:

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
5 eggs, add 1 at a time and beat 1 minute

Add:

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. coconut extract
1 c. buttermilk
1 can angelflake coconut

Beat together above ingredients well and bake in a 13 x 9 inch or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, for 13 x 9 pan, and a little longer for tube pan.

MAKE A GLAZE:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Boil for 1 minute and add 1 teaspoon coconut extract. Pour over cake while still warm.
