PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
2 tbsp. water
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. baking soda
A thin slice of paraffin wax

Place raw peanuts, sugar, water, and syrup in saucepan. Cook until it turns light caramel in color. Remove from heat. Add soda and paraffin wax and stir in. As soon as paraffin has melted, pour mixture onto a buttered cookie sheet. When cool, break into pieces.
