SWEDISH MEAT BALLS | |
1 1/2 lb. beef, ground twice or 1 lb. beef and 1/4 lb. pork 1 egg 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. grated onion 1/2 c. milk Mix spices, bread crumbs, onion, milk and sugar in bowl. Add meat and work well together. Gently form into small meatballs and fry in butter until brown on all sides. Then add small amount of water to keep meat balls moist, but do not cover. |
