HAM CASSEROLE 
6 medium Irish potatoes, peeled and diced
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 small onion
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar or American cheese
salt and pepper to taste
MSG
garlic salt
1/2 lb. cooked ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 tbsp. parsley flakes

Cover potatoes with water. Boil until done but not mushy. Drain. Melt butter in skillet. Add onion but do not brown. Add flour; stir until absorbed. Add milk and cheese. Cook until smooth and thick. Add salt, pepper, MSG and garlic salt; combine with ham and potatoes gently. Do not mash potato chunks. Place in greased casserole. Sprinkle with parsley flakes.

Bake in 350°F oven until slightly brown and bubbly.

Yield: 5 servings.
