WHITE BREAD 
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. yeast
2 c. potato water (lukewarm)
2 c. water (lukewarm)
1/2 c. sugar
6 c. flour
2 tbsp. salt
1/4 c. lard
5 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water with 2 teaspoons sugar. Stir, let stand 10 minutes. Then add the 2 cups potato water and 2 cups plain water, sugar and 6 cups flour. Beat with mixer. Add salt, lard and the rest of flour. Mix together. Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes. Knead; let rise. Punch down and let rise again. Shape into 4 loaves. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes then turn down heat to 350 degrees. Total baking time is 55 minutes.
