PERFECT BROWNIES 
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sifted enriched flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts

1. Melt the 2 squares of chocolate in the top of a double boiler over boiling water.

2. Cream together the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy.

3. Bread the eggs separately in another bowl and add (unbeaten) to the creamed shortening and sugar. Mix well.

4. Add the melted chocolate and mix well.

5. Add the vanilla.
