ESCALLOPED CORN | |
2 (1 lb.) cans corn (creamed style or whole kernel) 1/4 lb. soda crackers (crushed fine with hands) 1/2 lg. can canned milk 2 or 3 tsp. sugar (or to taste) 3 eggs (separated) Put corn into bowl, crush crackers, pour milk over this and mix. Let stand a while. Separate eggs, just drop yolks in corn mixture and stir up with spoon. Fold egg whites into corn mixture and pour into greased baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle black pepper over top. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until brown. |
