MOCK CHEESE SOUFFLE 
6 slices white bread, crusts removed
1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash garlic powder
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 lb. ground sausage

Butter casserole dish. Butter one side of bread and line casserole dish with butter side up. Add grated cheese, seasoned with salt, mustard and garlic. Beat eggs and milk together, pour over cheese. Let stand at least 8 hours in ice box (it is better if done the night before). Take out 1 hour before baking. Bake in a pan of water 1 hour and 15 minutes in a moderate oven. Add cooked meat on top.
