SOUTHERN PECAN STICKS 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 egg (separated)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans (finely chopped)

Sift flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cream butter and work into flour mixture. Add egg yolk and vanilla. Mix well. Spread to 1/4 inch thickness on jelly roll pan 10x15x1 inch. Brush egg white on and sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Cut into rectangles.
