POPPY SEED CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
16 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. pkg. fancy egg noodles
8 oz. pkg. cream or Neufchatel cheese
1 c. low fat cottage cheese
1/2 c. plain yogurt
1 tbsp. poppy seeds

In large skillet brown meat, onion and green pepper until meat is browned, drained. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings. Set aside. In meantime cook noodles according to directions and drain.

In small bowl combine cheeses, yogurt and seasonings and poppy seeds. Toss with hot noodles. Layer 3/4 of noodle mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Spoon meat mixture over center of noodles leaving 1 inch border of uncooked noodles. Layer remaining noodles over meat mixture again leaving 1 inch border of uncovered meat mixture. Bake covered at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 8.
