GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
2 lg. eggs 1 c. vegetable oil 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. water 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. peeled & thin sliced apples 1 c. nuts, chopped Beat eggs with oil until foamy. Add sugar, vanilla, baking soda (dissolved in 1 teaspoon of water), flour, cinnamon, salt, nuts and apples. Beat well. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes in a greased and floured pan. FROSTING: 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 tsp. butter 1 c. powdered sugar Blend well. Put on cake. |
