JANE'S CUCUMBER BREAD AND BUTTER
PICKLES
 
2 quarts thinly sliced cucumbers
1 green pepper sliced
1 medium sweet onion, sliced
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup vinegar
3 tsp mustard or celery seed

Mix vegetables and salt. Soak for 3 hours, drain well.

Heat sugar and vinegar to dissolve. Put vegetables in containers or jars. Cover with sugar and vinegar mixture. Freeze. Good several days after defrosting.
